Indulgence Ipoh…

Xmas eve suppose to be a very memorable nite that you spend with family member and love one, dun get me misunderstand, i did spent my xmas eve with my lovely mother and girl friend. We went for this luxury restaurant at Ipoh called Indulgence (website here). To me, it was 1 of the most expensive restaurant in Ipoh comparing to the living standard in Ipoh. My Xmas eve became memorable cause by the food price of this restaurant. See what i get for you this time at below.

Frankly speaking, i would choose to compare this restaurant with Silver Spoon which i recommended before on previous post as the standard was similar. The only thing that shock me is the price, i never expect that Ipoh got such a pricey restaurant. Food quality and taste wise? I would say, Silver Spoon is far more worth than Indulgence base on quantity and taste. At least with RM300+, it would be enough to buy a dinner for about 5 person at Silver Spoon, but not in Indulgence.

Try it if so happen your wallet are loaded but don’t know where to spend in Ipoh.

Northern Delicacy again.

Whenever we talk about Ipoh famous food, it won’t run away from Ipoh bean sprout Chicken hor fun. When we talk about chicken hor fun, everyone will say Lou Wong and Onn Kee.. for me, i would prefer Onn Kee. But maybe i’m not a chicken lover, I can’t really comment much on the taste. here are some photo of it.

other than this, i went to Sun Hap Kee to have a try on their famous “Gon Jin Gai” 1 of the famous food that i only discover recently recommended by my friend. i found it nothing special. The taste is a bit like Marmaid chicken. except that is lots more salty than Marmaid. but still it is an new experience. worth trying.

The last weekend, i went to Penang as well. Every time i go Penang, i wont miss out the Air Itam wet market laksa. that is something i wont miss. And if possible, i will eat 2 bowl as 1 is just not enough for such nice food. Comparing to the Melaka’s Laksa, both have it’s own specialty. both have its own uniqueness..

Ipoh yumm yumm….

Went back to Ipoh last week. After went to donate blood at  a newly open pharmacy at Jalan Hume, me and my friend went to have lunch at Restaurant Yong Suan (the mix of chinese restaurant which sell indian food). According to my friend (just to make thing clear, he is 6 years older than me and is purely Ipoh guy), this shop has been there for almost 30 years and the business is always that good during lunch hour. So, me and my friend went to have a try on it as i never eat before. To me, the food is nothing special, the environment wise? is a bit not so right, because the shop is actually in those typical chinese restaurant design, but the customer in it are mostly if not all malay and indian. The food is not cheap comparing to Ipoh standard. Than, i went to try the Ipoh famous soya bean curb (tao fu fah) too… needless to say much.. this is the best soya bean curb in Ipoh.
